Aberporth a seaside village in West Wales is at the southern end of Cardigan Bay about six miles north of Cardigan and ten miles south of New Quay.

Aberporth ticks lots of boxes of the perfect place to visit for families. Previously a busy fishing port, this beautiful location is now a tranquil place to explore. Aberporth offers a brilliant West Wales beach, divided into two parts, one part dog friendly. Aberporth beaches offer clean, turquoise waters good for swimming, paddle boarding, surfing and sailing.

Aberporth; blue flag gorgeous sandy beaches complete with rock pools to explore, friendly pubs serving meals and refreshments, several restaurants and takeaways, a great beach café and a stunning coastal path.

Aberporth Coastal Path

Aberporth couldn’t be better situated for walkers wishing to explore the Ceredigion section of the Wales Coast Path: the Wales Coast Path goes through the village and you can follow it south to Mwnt, Gwbert and Cardigan.

To the north, you can head to Tresaith, Penbryn, Llangrannog and New Quay, on to Aberystwyth and finally to the mouth of the River Dovey at Ynyslas.

Walkers often see seals and dolphins close to the shore along this beautiful stretch of the Ceredigion coast.
