Penllech Beach Poster

Penllech is a beautiful and remote beach in the Llyn Peninsula. At low tide this sandy beach stretches for over a mile. It’s a good beach for surfing. A mile north of Llangwnnadl on the northern tip of the Llyn Peninsula.

Surfing at Penllech; with a fairly exposed beach break, there will be inconsistent surf but is suitable for beginners.

Offshore winds blow from the southeast with waves more likely to be from local windswells than distant groundswells and the ideal wave direction is from the southwest.

Penllech’s beach break offers both left and right-hand waves with conditions best around high tide when the tide is falling.
