Manorbier Travel Poster

Manorbier is a beautiful sandy, dune-backed, beach with a stream running down the northern end. Manorbier is just 4 miles from Tenby. Manorbier was designated as a conservation area by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park in 1997.

Manorbier Surf beach

Manorbier is a south-westerly facing beach, the only south-west facing beach in the Tenby area, making it a favourite South Pembrokeshire surfing beach. It gets a mix of groundswells and windswells and the optimum swell angle is from the southwest. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves. It is best one hour after high tide when the right reef break really kicks off! Cleaner waves than those at Freshwater West. When the surf is up, crowds are likely. Beware of rips, crowds / rocks. Surfing Lessons are available with Outer Reef Surf School.

Manorbier Castle

Manorbier Castle (Welsh: Castell Maenorbŷr) is a Norman castle in Manorbier, founded in the late 11th century by the Anglo-Norman de Barry family. It’s a pretty cool castle with perfect princess turrets a beautiful garden and tea room. Manorbier castle hosts a number of special events throughout the year, things like live music events, archery and it’s a popular spot to get married at too.

The castle has been used as a film location for “The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe” 1989 and “I Capture the Castle” 2001.

Manorbier beach is dog friendly all year round. St. James Church is within walking distance of this beach and is well worth a visit.

This Manorbier seaside poster is a perfect gift for anyone who loves Manorbier, Pembrokeshire and the beautiful Welsh coast.
