The Isle of Anglesey is a beautiful part of Wales, a little apart from the Welsh mainland by the Menai Strait.

This poster of Anglesey shows Tŵr Mawr (meaning “great tower” in Welsh), a stunning lighthouse on Ynys Llanddwyn, Anglesey (North Wales).

This gorgeous lighthouse, Twr Mawr is based on the design of an Anglesey windmill built in 1845. This lighthouse marked Llanddwyn Island, although Llanddwyn Island isn’t actually an island (a small part is connected to the mainland) although now it’s been retired as a lighthouse.

This Anglesey lighthouse has an effective height of 82ft, and is a beautiful place to visit – it changes a lot with the weather – it can be tranquil and calm or exhilarating and wild.

Whatever the weather it’s an amazing spot with excellent views of Snowdonia and the Lleyn Peninsula and is part of the Newborough Warren National Nature Reserve.
