Aberdyfi / Aberdovey is a charming little seaside resort set within the Snowdonia National Park.

Aberdyfi boasts some of the finest beaches in Britain particularly the beach between Aberdyfi and Tywyn with five gorgeous miles of golden sand-dune backed sand. It’s clean and great for families. Aberdyfi beaches are popular with sunbathers, swimmers, surfers and fishermen while the water attracts a wide range of watersports enthusiasts including sailors, windsurfers, kiters, kayaks, paddleboarders and more.

The Sunday Times listed it as one of the best beaches in Britain ‘for a spot of windsurfing or kitesurfing’

Aberdyfi’s got lots for families too crabbing off the quay, donkey rides through the dunes and the possibility of seeing bottlenose dolphins in the bay.

For the adventurous outdoor swimmers, Aberdyfi swim events are well worth checking out, watch the currents in this area though.
