My family and I adore Traeth Llyfn, we’ve spent countless hours playing on the beach, paddling, bodyboarding and SUP’ing over the years, it’s simply one of our favourite places. On our last trip there, I had a broken foot, but managed to limp along the coastal path and reach the beach when I had thought I wouldn’t be able to. It reminded me how powerful and restorative being in nature can be, those steps on the cliffs were sore but the beautiful views took my mind off it. Standing on the beach and looking out over the sea, I found myself moved to tears.

This piece is an expressive and playful with bold colour, energetic marks, and a childlike sense that combine to capture the joy, freedom, and emotion of being on the cliff tops overlooking Traeth Llyfn Beach (Pembrokeshire).
