CWM-YR-EGLWYS Travel Poster

Cwm-yr-Eglwys Sir Benfro.

Just outside Fishguard in Pembrokeshire, Wales. Cym-yr-Eglwys (English: Valley of the Church) is a firm favourite with those ‘in the know’. Cwm yr Eglwys a pretty cove on the north side of the Dinas Head peninsula between Fishguard and Newport.

The small beach is mostly shingle with a little boat club and narrow slipway for launching small boats.

There is access to the Pembrokeshire Coast Path which runs all around the peninsula. From Cwm Yr Eglwys you can walk to Pwll Gwaelod or towards Fishguard or you can walk to Newport Parrog or Newport Traeth Mawr (beach) from where there are spectacular views looking across Newport bay to Dinas Island.

This poster is of  St Brynach’s Church a large part of which was washed away in a storm in October 1859.
