Barry Island (Welsh: Ynys y Barri) has been a popular tourist hot spot since the 1880’s but it’s been made famous again by the television series “Gavin and Stacey” with Ruth Jones and James Corden and starring a host of Welsh and British talent. Unbelievably the last episodes (apart from 2019’s Christmas special was over 10 years ago.

Barry Island is just under ten miles from Cardiff was home to the great Butlin’s Barry Island for 30 years – in fact, it’s rumoured that Billy Butlin was inspired to build his empire after a holiday on Barry Island – sadly, the holiday camp has long gone and what’s left in its wake is a charming Welsh seaside town which is as beloved for its beautiful sandy beaches and Pleasure Park as it is as for its Gavin & Stacey memories.

Promenades lined with palm trees, beautiful white sands and rainbow-hued beach huts, it’s easy to see why the locals call it Barrybados.

Sadly, we are out of stock of ALL our inhouse frames - due to ongoing building work, we unfortunately will not have space to store our frames so for the foreseeable future we are selling our posters as just that - posters. We can recommend framers and online frame suppliers if you would like any recommendations.
